Current-practice context · reviewed 14 October 2026

ORIOLE showed that SABR reduces early progression compared with observation in selected men with oligometastatic recurrent prostate cancer, especially when all PSMA-PET-visible disease is treated. It remains phase II evidence without mature overall-survival proof; integrate with newer randomized MDT/ADT trials and avoid extrapolating to polymetastatic or rapidly progressive disease.
